A: If you have deleted a user or library in Tautulli and would like to bring them back the best method is to immediately restore a backup as the related history for these are removed when they are deleted. If you no longer have a backup containing the history, or don't want to bother with recovering it, you can simply tell Tautulli to allow them back in by "undeleting" them with the following instructions.
If you are unable to find the section_id, you may try using the library name (/undelete_library?section_name=), but this is less accurate and may not work. Example usage for a Tautulli instance running on the same computer would be:
A: When you remove something from Plex and then later re-add it, including when you move it between libraries or recreate an entire library it can start showing up multiple times in Tautulli. This is because Tautulli bases it's history recording on the ratingKey provided by Plex, a unique identifier for each item in the library. When you recreate items Plex generates a new ratingKey for the new item... but Tautulli is still referencing the old ratingKey for the history it has recorded!
This depends on how many items in your history you need to update to their new ratingKey. If you've just moved a single movie, or re-added a TV show then the simplest method is to search Tautulli's history for the old item (either the movie, or an episode from the show). Once you've found the item, open up the /info page for it and hit the Fix Match button. This will bring up a screen allowing you to search your Plex library for where the item is currently. Once you find it's new location and tell Tautulli about it, it will update all history items to the new ratingKey. For TV shows it will update all episodes, so you just need to fix one.
The same rules apply for moving and renaming movies in Plex. As long as you stop the Plex Media Server first, you can move, rearrange and rename movies and TV as you see fit. You will then need to scan your library again with Plex so it picks up the changes.
If you have watched a movie and are unlikely to want to watch it again, you can delete it in much the same way as you move, add or change them. Delete the movie from your computer as you normally would and then select Update Library once more. The movie will disappear from your library listing.
I have one computer running Monterey (Mac Pro) and another one running Mojave (Macbook pro). I want to transfer my iTunes music library (all audio files and playlist and rating information) from the Mojave computer to the Monterey computer so I can listen to them in the new music app on the newer machine and ultimately pair the new machine with an iphone.
The problem with 0.9.9.10 version is the plexmediaserver.pid is symlinked to /var/lib/plexmediaserver/Library/Application/Support/Plex Media Server. When the whole directory is moved to a Samba server, for example, the server will throw an error since the symlinked .pid file goes with it. How were you able to fix this? Modify the init.d initialization script? This is in the case of Centos.
To be honest neither of these methods seems to be working on Ubuntu. I have tried editing the default file as well as creating a link to the moved files both with the same result, plex crashing as soon as it starts.. Maybe im missing something or maybe its because im trying to move the files to /media/Data/plexmediaserver. Ive made sure that the permissions are set the same on all the directories as well as the own:grp is set to plex:plex.. Any ideas?
When you setup plex server; you can setup libraries to find media. The library will consist of a bunch of folders. . .which can reside anywhere on your network. For example, I have two servers setup. One on my PC. . .which can read files from the NAS. I also have a server setup on the NAS. . .which reads the same files from the NAS.
Exporting your iTunes playlists can be useful when you want to transfer your music to another computer or transfer song and playlist information to another application. You can also use the playlist export and import functions to move a playlist from your iOS device to your computer's iTunes library. It's very important to note that playlist files do not contain any actual music files; they simply point to songs in the library.
The MyCloud, like some other NAS devices, also has an iTunes server feature, which lets you stream music from the device to a computer running iTunes or to an Apple TV. This means that any computer in your house can stream your media files, without the Mac whose library is stored on the NAS running.
Plex is an awesome media server app for streaming content on your phone, computer, Smart TV, and any device. There are also hundreds of TV and movie plugins/addons, official and unofficial channels available for Plex, offering a great high-quality streaming experience for movies and series on Plex. In this post, we'll explain how to add movies to the Plex library and how to get new movies on the Plex server.

Step 3: Select Libraries under the Manage section. Step 4: Click Add Library, select the library type and name the library. Step 5: Put your movie files in a folder and back to Plex. Users often wish to delete a Plex library when it begins malfunctioning. By deleting it, you won’t remove the media from the server, but it will make the media unavailable to other clients. Find the “Libraries” section in the left menu and hover over the one you want to delete. Press the three dots on the right.3. Select “Delete.”4. A prompt will appear informing you the library will be removed from your server while your media files won’t be affected. Mark the checkbox and press “Delete.”The “Delete” button will now turn into a progress spinner.
