Did you know that 80% of the environmental impact caused by a product is resolved in the design? Ecodesign arises as a result of the awareness of many experts about the consequences of their work on the environment. There are many words to define ecodesign. It is called ecological, green, sustainable, conscious, ethical and responsible design. For Tati Guimarães (@tati_guimaraes ), Brazilian eco-designer of packaging and products, the most correct definition is circular design.
What is ecodesign and how can you apply it to your products? 3 Ecodesign is circular design. Why is ecodesign actually circular design? Circular design is the way of designing in which we think about all stages of a product's life cycle. The phase Banner Design of creating the idea will mark a large part of the environmental impact that our piece will have. It is important that, right there, we take into account every aspect, such as the extraction and processing of materials and their origins.
When we begin to dream a product, we can already begin to make a difference. The goal always has to be to optimize natural resources. When it comes to producing and assembling , we can think, for example, of making things light in weight so that they then consume less CO2 and take up less space. We also have to consider prioritizing non-polluting production processes, favoring local and certified manufacturers and materials.
