Windows 7 allows user to rearm 3 times (4 actually where one is used on installed automatically), where rearm resets the activation-free allowance period back to 30 days. With 3 rearms, plus the 30 days free usage period right after installation, users can potentially use and run Windows 7 for free for up to 120 days, as trial or evaluation period. After each rearm is performed, the rearm count available is reduced by 1, and when the rearm count left reaches 0, users cannot rearm the system to reset the activation grace period anymore. If the activation is not done by now, system will be labeled as non-genuine status with various annoyances including black desktop and frequent warning messages to activate.
Hackers have managed to find a method to reset rearm count in Windows 7 so that the free remaining rearm count will be back to 4, allowing the whole cycle of rearming and resetting Windows 7 activation grace period to be done again, for infinity times. The hack, when done properly, can make Windows 7 be used forever, without activation, and without any activation crack. In this case, the license status for Windows 7 stays indefinitely in initial grace period, which is genuine status when validated by WGA (Windows Genuine Advantage) validation tool.
After hard works by various peple such as timesurfer, MasterDisaster, 7ekn00, PAYMYRENT, mcclausky, tuvi123, MadSheep!, BOX and sam3971 at My Digital Life forums, a few automated tools (with minimal manual steps) have been developed in the name of InfiniteRearm4, Windows7 Rearm4 and Windows 7 Rearm Forever, collectively can be known as rearm count reset utilities.
Note: In the WinRE and the WinPE, the drive letter of the OS changes from C: to D: if and only if you have the System Reserved partition, otherwise it is C: drive.Reboot the system. After logon, ignore the watermark and any non-genuine warnings and then wait for a while till a message box is displayed.Optionally, perform one or more of the following actions:The Rearm task that is installed will run every 29 days on schedule from the time you installed it. If the scheduled time is missed, the rearm task will not execute. To make it run automatically if the schedule is missed, do the following steps:Type Task Scheduler in the Start Search, and hit Enter to open it.Select Task Scheduler Library in the left pane.In the Active Tasks window, double click on the Rearm task, then at the right panel under Selected Item click Properties. then in the Rearm Properties window then click Select the Settings TabIn the Rearm Properties window, select Settings tab.Check the Run task as soon as possible if the scheduled start is missed option.Click on OK and close Task Scheduler.Click on Check Rearm Task button to see if task is ready.Click on Check Rearms button to see how many rearms remaining.Click on Manually Rearm button to rearm.Click on Uninstall button to uninstall the program.Tip 1: Above steps do not require a Windows 7 DVD, and thus user is required to enter login credentials. Using the Windows installation disc or Windows 7 System Repair Disc to boot into WinPE does not require user to enter login credentials.
Interesting to note that the unlimited rearm hack does not work in Windows Vista, as the vulnerability does not exist in Windows Vista. The WPA registry key was part of Windows XP activation process, but was removed in Windows Vista when activation scheme changed to Software Licensing. WPA registry key was re-added when switched to Software Protection Platform in Windows 7.
The MS Office package (both the classic MSI package of Office 2016/2013/2010 and the Click2Run distribution of Office 2021/2019/Office 365) includes a special ospprearm.exe tool, which is located in the directory:
In any case, you can try to find the location of the ospprearm.exe file manually. var quads_screen_width = document.body.clientWidth;if ( quads_screen_width >= 1140 ) {/* desktop monitors */document.write('');(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});}if ( quads_screen_width >= 1024 && quads_screen_width < 1140 ) {/* tablet landscape */document.write('');(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});}if ( quads_screen_width >= 768 && quads_screen_width < 1024 ) {/* tablet portrait */document.write('');(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});}if ( quads_screen_width < 768 ) {/* phone */document.write('');(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});}
Thus, you rearm your Office copy and extend the free trial to 30 days. You can run this command up to three (3) times before the trial expires. Thus, you can extend the total time of using the Office 2019/2016/365 trial version up to 120 days (4 * 30 days). You can check the current Office activation status and the number of days remaining until the end of the grace period as follows.
In this example, the retail trial edition of Office is installed on the computer (Description: Office 19, RETAIL Grace channel). You can extend the trial period only 1 time (Remaining App rearm count: 1). The remaining period of use is 5 days.
If a corporate edition of Office 2019 is installed on the computer, for example, Office 19, Office19ProjectPro2019VL_KMS_Client_AE editionthen its description should look like Office 19, VOLUME_KMSCLIENT channel or Office 19, VOLUME_KMSCLIENT channel. The remaining trial period is 30 days, you can renew the license up to 3 times (Remaining App rearm count: 3).
Each time the license is extended via ospprearm.exe, the counter is decremented by 1. If the remaining number of rearms for the Office trial license is 0, you will receive error 0xc004d307 when running OSPPREARM.EXE.
In my setup I have a running KMS server in my domain. I placed my SYSPREPed image onto a PC and while not a member of the domain I performed my activation against the KMS, server all the while showing 1 remaining rearm allowed. I then issued the SLMGR.vbs /rearm command and did the required reboot, now I am showing 0 rearms remaining. I did my activation against the KMS server and my rearm allowed count went back to 1, all the while I was not part of the domain.
Conclusion: Being a member of the domain does not impact the activation process. Being at 0 rearms remaining you can get back to 1 when you activate against a KMS server. No confirmation yet on the Office 2010 rearm count of 5 acting the same way, I will reply when I find out (waiting for my KMS server to activate after 25 Office 2010 clients hit it up).
Office 2010 is certainly the best Office suite out there. However, compared to Office 2007 it has one major drawback: Like Vista and Windows 7, Office 2010 has to be activated. However, Office 2010 behaves a little different than Windows if it is not activated. Rearming Office 2010, that is resetting the grace period, works similar as rearming Windows.
This is where Office 2010 rearm comes in. This features allows you reset the grace timer to 30 days grace. If you rearm Office right before you create the OS master image, you can be sure that you have the full 25 days before users will bothered with Office activation notifications or before the retail edition goes into Reduced Functionality Mode after 30 days.
You will find some complicated instructions on the Web of how to rearm Office 2010. Most of these articles were written before Office 2010 was released. There are also third party tools that allow you to rearm Office 2010. However, I recommend following Microsoft's instructions. This topic is too sensitive to rely on third party tools.
To rearm Office 2010, you only have to run ospprearm.exe in %installdir%\%Program Files%\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\OfficeSoftwareProtectionPlatform from an elevated command prompt. "%Program Files%" has to be replaced with %Program Files (x86)% if you installed Office 2010 32-bit on Windows 64-bit.
Office 2010 rearm could also be useful if you installed Office 2010 Trial. The Office 2010 Professional Plus Trial comes with a special activation code that will allow you to test Office 2010 for 60 days. There are reports on the web indicating that you can also rearm the trial version of Office 2010. Office 2010 Trial indeed comes with ospprearm.exe. However I doubt that rearming will work after you used the trial activation code because rearming makes only sense with an Office installation that hasn't been activated.
You can run Office 2010 Trial without activating it but every time you launch the Office 2010 Activation Wizard will pop up. If you cancel this dialog, you can continue using the Office application. I suppose this will only work for 30 days. If you have experience with rearming Office 2010 Trial, please let me know.
Good day. I had my laptop cleaned and reloaded a while back due to a virus. The person doing it moved away since then and now i keep on gettig the red label stating that activation failed. I have rearmed a few times and now it would rearm no more. Where do i get a code to activate the darn thing? Your help would be greatly appreciated. Regards Bets
Conditions:-- A large number of zombie flows exists.-- TCP Keep Alive timer is rearmed aggressively for zombie flows with very small idle_timeout (0) value.-- TCP Keep alive timer keeps expiring and is rearmed continuously.
The status of the Chexit can be determined by the indicator lamp. When the lamp is off, this indicates the device is disarmed and is functioning as a normal exit device (no delay). A continuously on lamp indicates the device has just been armed and as soon as the selectable rearm timer expires, the device will arm. A slow flashing lamp indicates the device is armed. A fast flashing indicator lamp indicates the device is in alarm. 2b1af7f3a8
